INTERNSHIP REPORTS

Internships are essential to prepare for later employment. Guided by concrete questions, students of the Master’s degree programmes can share their practical professional experience with students of the Bachelor’s degree programme.

EAMC

EAMC (Experimental Architecture and Material Culture) is an inventory platform for earth and stone architecture in India and Europe. It aims to gather knowledge about building techniques, crafts and manufacturing. The platform is an encyclopaedia that grows through the exchange of German and Indian students.

International Academy Certificate Course – Designing for sustainability

In the upcoming Summer Semester, the Department of Architectural Theory will join forces with the Chair for Building Technology, the Chair for Structures and Structural Design and the Junior Chair for Reuse in Architecture to teach a certificate course for post-graduates on Architecture and Responsible Building Practices.

The DAAD-funded university cooperation with IIT Roorkee in India will continue in the coming semesters with the aim of exchanging knowledge, experience and developing sustainable construction techniques.

Journal for Architecture Knowledge

Candide is a scholarly journal that focuses on investigating diverse areas of knowledge within the field of architecture.

ARCHITECTURal THEORy

is the theory of an action-based science. Unlike scientific theories, tracing provisional paths through unexplored terrains, the field of architectural theory is primarily grounded on attitudes, beliefs and motives, which prepare the action of architects.
