Vorlesung GuT 1a Architekturtheorie: Care. Architecture towards sustainability

The course deals with the theme of “care” in architecture. The theme will be addressed from different perspectives, in order to focus on practices oriented to take care of the natural and built environment. Each session will focus on a particular way of manifesting “care” in architecture, starting from raw materials, through construction procedures, until social involvement and innovative addresses in architectural education. Various links will also be made with other disciplines including anthropology, sociology and ecology with the aim of outlining the different epistemological orientations oriented towards sustainable development. The lectures will be held partly in conjunction with the Montagabendgespräche.
