44. Montagabendgespräche „Caring Architecture“

44. Montagabendgespräche „Caring Architecture“

For over forty years, the Aachener Montagabendgespräche has been a regular event at the RWTH Aachen Faculty of Architecture and a regional meeting place for people interested in architecture. This year the series of meetings will take place both online (with transmissions via Zoom and streaming on other web channels) and in presence.
In Wintersemester 2021/22 the series of meetings will focus on the theme of „care“ in architecture, that is, architecture as a practice oriented to take care of the environment and its various material and immaterial features. Architects, designers and architecture that address the theme of “caring” from different perspectives will provide their contribution to this discussion. Each session will focus on a particular way of manifesting “care” in architecture, starting from raw materials, through construction procedures, until social involvement and innovative addresses in architectural education. The meetings are organized by RWTH Aachen and are open to a broad audience from all disciplines and fields of knowledge.

The lectures will be held partly in conjunction with the GuT 1a, but there is no option or need to register via rwthonline to an exam for the Montagabendgespräche.
