The Lehmbaugarten is located in Aachen-Seffent, behind the shock wave laboratory of RWTH Aachen University. The garden has been a place for experiments for more than forty years.
The aim of this impromptu project is to improve the conditions of use of the Bundeskunsthalle's roof terrace. The building was planned in the early 1990s by architect Gustav Peichl.
Next to the RWTH's shock wave laboratory, there has been a park for 40 years in which clay domes and half-timbered pavilions are built by students by hand and foot without machines. These pavilions are improvisations that arise from the joint work of 4 students.
